Basic Sketch

Someday I will blog more than challenges again...

...like when the church girl's camp I am in charge of is over...

That being said, here is the Basic Sketch challenge from Kiwi Lane for the week:

And here is how I switched it up a bit:

You might just want to get used to seeing Out On A Limb cutouts for awhile! They had a warehouse sale and I have ZERO self control!!!

But how can I resist this:

Especially when I have 3 of my own little monsters?

And who knew my favorite Kiwi Lane Scallops templates work perfectly with monster eyes:

This guy is my favorite:

DT Doodles #12

Here is the Kiwi Lane DT Doodles for the week:

And here is my layout:

I actually really love how this one turned out! Sometimes I end up looking at my layouts and thinking "Well.... at least it's done...." But this one I think I like. For real.

I used my Chestnut Drive 12" border template and the sprocket and stars templates from the Adventure set.

The pictures are my little boy with a pretty skinned-up knee. He was so proud!

The paper was kinda shiny (which is super hard to photograph) so I used my embossing pen to add some clear embossing shiny-ness to my stars!

Layouts for June!

Alright, so it's the middle of June already...

Here are the layouts my Close To My Heart scrapbooking group will be making at a yet-to-be-determined date in the crazy month of June!

First up is Lollydoodle:

We are using the Lollydoodle Paper Packet and the Flamingo Dots.

I love this new funky outlined alphabet! It pairs well with this crazy doodle paper!

And of course we need to doodle on our Lollydoodle page:

It's kinda scary to commit to, but it looks so cute when finished! Just grab a black Micon pen and have at it!

Last but not least is Timberline:

We are using the Timberline Paper Packet, the Woodgrain Washi Tape, and the Triangle Durables Studs.

Another cool washi tape trick:

Stamp on your paper in a color a tad darker than your tape. Then just cover that stamped section with tape to make "paper". Now you can cut out your letters and poof! Washi Tape Alphabet!!!

Let me know if you'd like to join us!

Basic Sketch

This has to be fast!!!

Tomorrow is my boy's birthday and I am running a *tad* behind in preparations...

So here is Kiwi Lane's Basic Sketch this week:

And here is my version:

I keep adding to my addictions! It all really took off when I visited my first scrapbook expo... then I joined Close To My Heart... then came Kiwi Lane... and now I am mixing them all together with Out On A Limb Cutouts!

I like getting just the cutouts and not the full page packets. Then I feel like I am using up some of my own stash of paper instead of just buying more!

This is odd. I only used one Kiwi Lane template on this whole layout?! You can tell I was rushing things a bit... LOVE my big rings circle template though!

DT Doodles #11

I was able to follow this one *almost* exactly!

Here is the Kiwi Lane DT Doodles for this week:

And here is my layout:

 See? Pretty close this time!

...But I just couldn't put the square picture tilted.

Just. Can't. Do It.

Here is my favorite part:

I LOVE my little octopus!!!

I made him with my Paradise "splat" template mixed with my Rings template. And of course all cutesy scrapbook sea life should have over-sized googly eyes!
