For Chantre #2

Well she convinced me to do it again!

Here is another 3 card set for my Aunt Chantre:

This time we are using the Confetti Paper Packet, Purple Shimmer Trim, and Purple Glitter Gems. I planned it out so she can make at least 4 of each card with the one paper packet.

I was definitely in a purple sparkly mood!

KL Scrapbook Sketch #7

Time for another chance to WIN with Kiwi Lane's Scrapbook Sketch Challenge!!!

Go to their blog for all the details!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my sample layout:

I used Kiwi Lane's BRAND NEW paper line called "Superhero!" I'm SOOOOO excited that Kiwi Lane has paper now!!! Plus it was pretty much perfect for these pictures...

Here is where having every color of Close To My Heart ink comes in handy:

Fun colorful title!

The Kiwi paper had a "pow" I just had to cut out:

I didn't want to ink the edges because I wanted them stark, not soft, so I outlined everything with a black marker. It's one of my favorite techniques for boy pages!

KL Card Sketch #7

Happy Card Sketch Week!!!

Kiwi Lane has another fun card sketch challenge up on their blog!

Here is the sketch:

And just for fun I made 2 sample cards this time! Again!

Card #1:

Is it just me or are boy cards really hard?! Whenever I want to challenge myself with a masculine card, I reach for the Duct Tape! Or is it Duck Tape...?

Either way, that dull silver tape mixed with some splashes of paint make a pretty good boy card:

Card #2:

I am sooooooo done with the heat around here!!! So I made a sunshine card to try to cope!

Nothing fancy, just cute paper with cute stamps:

Happy 4th of July!!!

I made a layout just for fun!

And it happens to be 4th of July related!

And today is the 4th of July!!!

So here it is:

I bought a Simple Stories "Sea To Shining Sea" paper/sticker pack from allscrapbooksteals.com (LOVE them) and decided to actually USE it before I put it away and forgot I owned it... other people do that too, right?!

Anyway, I'm not a big pocket-page scrapbooker, so I cut apart some of the 4x6 cards for journaling spots and my USA title:

I made my stars by tracing my Kiwi Lane star template on plain white paper and cutting it out. Then I just traced parts of the star on my paterned paper and pieced it all together on my plain star:

The wood paper is so old it doesn't even have a company mark on it! I hope it's still acid free...

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Layout for July

Here is the layout my Close To My Heart Scrapbooking group is making in July:

We are using the Seaside Paper Packet, Gold Sequins, Gold Shimmer Trim, and the gold out of the Neutral Metallic Bakers Twine pack.

Yep! It's pretty sparkly!

This is very beach-themed paper, so I wanted to neutralize it a bit. Good times can happen NOT on the beach, right?

To make my pennant garland I just cut 1 inch pieces of my Gold Shimmer Trim and folded them over my Bakers Twine. Notch the ends and DONE:

Just so you know, the retiring list is up! Visit my shopping site HERE to view all the awesome products going away.
