Gardenia #2

I am keeping up!!!

Just eeking this latest one in... but keeping up!

Here is Scrapbook Steal's Mid-Week-Mojo sketch Gardenia #2:

And here is my 2-page version:

Honestly, I don't know why no one else has to turn these into 2-pagers! Does anyone really have ONE picture of something?!

I turned the circles in the sketch into flowers using my Kiwi Lane templates. I added a few scraps to help ground the white Thickers of my title and make them stand out:

And of course I popped up the flower petals:

I used another big chunk of my fabulous Teresa Collins Spring Fling paper! This makes me happy and sad at the same time...

Happy Big Bang Season Premier Day!!!

All done!

And even with a few hours to spare...

There is going to be TONS of journaling on this one, but my handwriting is awful so you'll just have to imagine it! I used the cards and paper from the Simple Stories Documented line.

I really love the stripes on the sides of this sketch! It helps that I used some of my favorite My Mind's Eye paper from the Cut & Paste line!

This one was fun! I was VERY covered in glue, but fun! I used my Kiwi Lane templates for the "waves" at the bottom and a lot of Close To My Heart twine and burlap.

I think maybe I'll try something new and just KEEP UP with the next series...

right...

Pansy #7-4

Ok, I'm playing catch-up!

I REALLY want to enter the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week-Mojo Perfectly Pansy series Grand Prize... but I have a *few* layouts to finish first...

So here is what I have done so far:

Pansy #7:

My layout:

Close up:

I stamped journaling lines on my starbursts and used some of those bazillions of dots they give you in the Thickers alphabets as "brads".

Pansy #6:

My layout:

I've decided it's ok to use my super old dated stickers as long as they go perfectly with the page. Like a grasshopper sticker with pictures of my son holding... a grasshopper...

Pansy #5:

My layout:

All I could see with the circles on the sketch was cereal. Luckily I have photos of EVERYTHING! Including my daughter eating Fruit Loops!

Pansy #4:

My layout:

For some reason this one needed to be Christmas. I used the circles as journaling dots and added a bit of silver glitter glue for bling.

Perhaps this would be easier if I didn't need to turn them all into 2-pagers... hmmmmm...

Only 3 more to go!!!

DT Doodles #18

Here is the Kiwi Lane DT Doodles sketch #18 for this week:

And I got to make the sample!!!

Here is my layout:

I just HAD to use more of my Bella BLVD Molly paper!!! Plus I still have tons of pictures of my daughter's 13th birthday... and it's perfect for that!

I love all these stickers:

I'm not usually a "sticker person", but these ones just seem to group really well.

I gave myself a nice big journaling spot for this layout:

LOVE my line stamps!

Go HERE to enter for yourself!

You still have allllllll week!

Gardenia #1

I am starting from the beginning this time!

Here is Scrapbook Steals' Mid-Week-Mojo sketch Gardenia #1:

And of course here is my 2-page version:

I know, I know, another Father's and Son's layout! I just really liked the background grouping of this sketch with one landscape photo:

And then I figured it needed outlined in hemp bakers twine and brads in the corners and the whole thing lined in hemp ribbon:

I like it!

Happy Camping!

Basic Sketch

It's Basic Sketch time at over at Kiwi Lane's Facebook page! Go HERE to participate... and to see my sample page!

Yes, I made the sample AGAIN :)

I LOVE IT!!!

Here is the sketch:

I have to admit, this is my favorite sketch yet! There's just something about it...

Here is my layout:

I really like when things turn out even better than I planned!

This American Crafts paper I got on CLEARANCE is just perfect:

Lots of details on this one:

I hand-stitched around my circles and brackets, added sparkles to the middles of the circle paper, folded notched photo-corners, and tied some decent bows!

LOVE it!

Go make your own!

Pansy 10

It's the last Pansy sketch from Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week Mojo!

I actually kept up the last few weeks!

So here is Pansy 10:

And here is my 2-page version:

I don't know why this one photographed all funky... the colors are just OFF! You'll have to trust me that it's cute...!

I found some really old Close To My Heart embellishments for this one:

I don't even remember what these circle things are called! The Thickers are flocked to mimic my son's jacket in the pictures.

Now to see if I can get the first several done in time for the big contest...

Good luck me!!!
