Great Gardenia!

Over at Scrapbook Steals they have a weekly Mid-Week-Mojo sketch contest. Once a run of 10 is complete, there is a GRAND PRIZE for everyone who finished all 10 sketches!

Well I actually finished on time!

Here are my 2-page versions of all 10 Gardenia sketches:

Whew!

Honestly I LOVE looking back at a whole bunch of cute accomplishments! Sketches with a deadline "force" me to carve out scrapbooking time... and that is happy time!

Wish me luck!

Gardenia #3-#5

I'm not sure why it took me so long to finish these last 3... but here they are!

Finally one of the last Father's and Son's layouts! I REALLY stretched my Paper Loft paper! I stamped my little peeps-on-a-stick with an old Close To My Heart Easter set.

I never think of layout ideas like this on my own! That's why I LOVE sketches!!! It forces me out of my comfort zone and in this case I love the result!

This one started as an Out On A Limb page kit. It was cute by itself, but with a little extra paper and a different layout it turned out even BETTER! This is my first time chopping a title in half... I'll have to do it again!

And now to enter the Grand Gardenia Contest!

Gardenia #10

I didn't keep up very well, did I?

I still have plans to catch up by the time the BIG prize is offered...

plans...

I think there was an oops and there is no actual "sketch" for this week, so here is Scrapbook Steals' Mid-Week-Mojo example for Gardenia #10:

And here is my 2-page version:

I know, I know, ANOTHER Father's and Son's layout with my Paper Loft paper! I just want to FINISH a grouping of pictures for ONCE!!!

When I really want a title to match, I use some of the same "background" paper for the letters:

I just did some really light stamping and cut them out. Perfect match!

I still love all the little saying strips from my Paper Loft packet:

Fastest journaling ever!

Gardenia #6

I decided to hop back on the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week-Mojo bandwagon and attempt this week's sketch!

Here is Gardenia #6:

Here is my 2-page version:

This was a GREAT sketch to do feeling like crap with a cold! No specific measurements, just grab coordinating scraps and GO!

I do love my little peeps-on-a-stick:

It goes with the pictures!

You have until midnight tonight, go HERE to enter!

Perfectly Pansy!

YAY!!!

Since I did all the sketches in time, I get to enter the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week-Mojo Perfectly Pansy Grand Prize!!!

Here are all 10 of my Pansy layouts all turned into 2-pagers, of course!

There is going to be TONS of journaling on this one, but my handwriting is awful so you'll just have to imagine it! I used the cards and paper from the Simple Stories Documented line.

I really love the stripes on the sides of this sketch! It helps that I used some of my favorite My Mind's Eye paper from the Cut & Paste line!

This one was fun! I was VERY covered in glue, but fun! I used my Kiwi Lane templates for the "waves" at the bottom and a lot of Close To My Heart twine and burlap.

I think maybe I'll try something new and just KEEP UP with the next series...

right...

Pansy #7-4

Ok, I'm playing catch-up!

I REALLY want to enter the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week-Mojo Perfectly Pansy series Grand Prize... but I have a *few* layouts to finish first...

So here is what I have done so far:

Pansy #7:

My layout:

Close up:

I stamped journaling lines on my starbursts and used some of those bazillions of dots they give you in the Thickers alphabets as "brads".

Pansy #6:

My layout:

I've decided it's ok to use my super old dated stickers as long as they go perfectly with the page. Like a grasshopper sticker with pictures of my son holding... a grasshopper...

Pansy #5:

My layout:

All I could see with the circles on the sketch was cereal. Luckily I have photos of EVERYTHING! Including my daughter eating Fruit Loops!

Pansy #4:

For some reason this one needed to be Christmas. I used the circles as journaling dots and added a bit of silver glitter glue for bling.

Perhaps this would be easier if I didn't need to turn them all into 2-pagers... hmmmmm...

Only 3 more to go!!!
