New sketch and new chance to WIN this week at Kiwi Lane's blog HERE!
This is the sketch:
Now this sketch would be PERFECT the way it is... if I ever took pictures that could be cropped... so I had to alter things a bit for my sample:
I wanted to use the Autumn leaf template in a non-autumn way, so I figured spring leaves would be cute! I LOVE them! I doodled just a few leaf-vein lines after I cut them out:
Ummm... ya... that whole thing I said last time about how Kiwi Lane templates work great with minimal embellishments? Well they also work great with TONS of embellishments. Like if you wanted to use up a whole package of pewter brads or something. Just saying.
I lined the edges of some of my templates with wide ric-rac:
I like the more subtle textured-white-on-textured-white thing going on!
I decided I needed something to draw attention back to my photos and bring in more of the brown from my edges; so I made fun photo corners:
I just punched a one inch circle and cut it into four "equal" (I don't measure things like this) parts. New fun look!
Go make your own and enter to win!

Basic Sketch #2
Here is Kiwi Lane's Basic Sketch #2:
For this challenge you are not required to use the Kiwi Lane design templates to participate, so I thought I would spice things up a bit and NOT use my templates!!!
I gotta say, it was strange...
And here is my version:

I also figured since I was mixing things up, why not dust off my old Coluzzle alphabet stencils? Nowhere NEAR the clean results of my Cricut, but it was still fun to do again!
Visit HERE to see other ideas or even to participate yourself! It's a great way to win some free templates... and the worst that can happen is that you actually finish a scrapbook page!!
Not that I sometimes don't finish...

DT Doodles #40
Holy cow!!!
Can you believe we are up to #40?!
Here is the Kiwi Lane sketch:
Trust me, the colors mesh better in real life! I needed some pink! She's a girl with a girl dog!
This paper is adorable. It's old Basic Grey. Max and Whiskers I think...? I tore the edges of the swoop and the tags against my Kiwi Lane templates. It's scary at first, but it really does work! And it's quick and easy. Go HERE to see a tutorial explaining how it's done.
Yes, the 2002 date is correct.
I don't scrapbook in order, remember?
And yes, I am VERY behind!
Happy crazy 40th week of the year!

I needed to change it just a bit for my photos again:
Trust me, the colors mesh better in real life! I needed some pink! She's a girl with a girl dog!
I went a tad overboard with the tags... but I really like it! It's different from my usual "clean line" style. Sometimes it's fun to go outside your comfort zone.
