The Kiwi Lane Basic Sketch challange is up and guess who is the "sample" designer?!
ME!!!
Go HERE to see and participate. You have allllll week still!
Here is the sketch:
And here is my layout:
The pictures are my toddler buckled in her car seat with her dolly buckled in the seat next to her. That doll goes everywhere!
I'm sooooooo happy Kiwi Lane is re-releasing their 12" Strips set TOMORROW!!! Layouts come together so quickly with strips! And it's really easy to dress up your strips with, say, washi tape:
Cute and quick!
Add some Thickers for a title:
Seriously this layout came together in record time!
Go make your own!

Gardenia #6
I decided to hop back on the Scrapbook Steals Mid-Week-Mojo bandwagon and attempt this week's sketch!
Here is Gardenia #6:
Here is my 2-page version:
This was a GREAT sketch to do feeling like crap with a cold! No specific measurements, just grab coordinating scraps and GO!
I do love my little peeps-on-a-stick:
It goes with the pictures!
You have until midnight tonight, go HERE to enter!
Stupid cold

DT Doodles #20
Wow!
This will be my 7th day home out of ALL of October!
I am about done with 2014...
But luckily the girls at Kiwi Lane are NOT and here is DT Doodles sketch #20:
And here is my perhaps over-embellished version:
Never mind! I like it! Feel free to over-embellish your own!
I added another Kiwi Lane border layer and a *few* more cogs:
I doodled around everything! I even tried something new for me:
Doodle journaling lines!!! It was terrifying, but I really like how it turned out!
You still have time to participate! Go to Kiwi Lane's Facebook page HERE to enter.
Happy scrappin'

October Layout
Here is the sparkly Halloween layout my Close To My Heart scrapbooking group will be making in October:
We are using the Scaredy Cat Paper Packet, the Gold Sequins, and the Gold Shimmer Trim. Seriously addicted to all the shimmer trim...
It's hard to see all the sparkly in the photos. You'll just have to trust me! I also heat embossed the title to match a little better. I keep forgetting how much fun it is to emboss!!
Let me know if you'd like to join us!

DT Doodles #19
Here is the Kiwi Lane DT Doodles #19 sketch for this week:
And here is my version:
I got to make the "sample" layout again! LOVE my little job!
I used a REALLY old Pebbles Inc. paper pack that came with a bunch of cute stickers. Normally I am not a sticker person, but these matched so perfectly... So I made it work (Project Runway is on tonight, so I figured it was appropriate to quote Tim Gunn):
I added dimension and reduced the "cheapness" of the letter stickers by simply sticking the stickers on white paper and cutting them out again!
Even just a few pop dots can help stickers out:
I also glued my borders to white paper and cut them out again. It's an easy way to add contrast when you don't want to ink the edges!
You have plenty of time, so go HERE to enter!
