June Layout

Yay! Early again!

Here is the layout my scrapbook group will be making in June:

We will be using the Cruisin' Paper Packet. This paper is really travel-themed, but I think my layout ended up being neutral enough that it will work for other things, too. Like pictures of my son learning to ride his bike... that's about the extent of "travel" we do around here!

You can't really tell, but the letters are embossed on the Pennant Dimensional Elements. It gives a fun effect in real life. Use your imagination :)

What goes better with travel than Dr. Seuss? I have been waiting to use bits of this book on a page for a long time! Finally!

If you are in the Utah County area and want to participate, let me know! We would love to scrapbook with you.

A Couple Cards

No, I have not artistically fallen off the face of the web.

I am working on a *secret* Mother's Day present for my mom! But I still made a few cards to share:

This first one was inspired by an Archivers make-n-take forever ago. I just cut the card edge with my circle cutter and good old-fashioned edged scissors! Remember those?

This last one is pretty much a CASE of a card from my long-distance card group with my Aunt. I honestly do not know the name of the crafter, but it was cute enough to copy! Luckily I have a plethora of flower punches in all different sizes...

Smiles for everyone!

May layouts

I am finally ahead! Here are the two paper packets my scrapbook group will be doing for May, BEFORE we actually do them ;)

Lucy:

Super-girly and sparkly! We are using the Cream Pearls and Glitz Glitter Gel. The flowers are from the Lucy Workshop On The Go stamp set and I love them.

I wanted the sweet leaf green to show through in my letters, so I only dabbed the Glitz gel on instead of applying a think line-coating.

And Victory:

Very manly! We are using the Milepost Shapes stars and the Durables Square Studs in pewter. I left a big blank spot on the bottom of the pages so my girls could add whatever title they wanted.

This is the first time in a LONG time that I didn't sponge my pages! They are all direct-to-paper inked in black. I forgot how much faster it is that way...

Let me know if you are in the Utah County area and want to come scrapbook with us!
