DT Doodles #2
I do not like the every-other-week DT Doodles! I only seem to get half the scrapbooking done! I need a deadline...
And with my little hissy fit out of the way, here is the sketch:
I know! One page! Who only has one page worth of pictures?!
Not me!
EVER!
So I turned it into a 2-pager:
I really like how this one turned out! It was actually very easy to stretch into a full layout :)
I of course used my Kiwi Lane flower templates and added a few of my flower punches as well. The title is cut with my Cricut since I somehow didn't have any dark green Thickers! After the American Crafts warehouse sale you'd think I'd have at least one set...of every color...
Don't laugh at my handwriting. I know it's awful. And yes, I know I spelled "Hogle Zoo" wrong.
I was just being proud of my first spray mist attempt that actually turned out! Yay!
Go HERE to see other entries that can probably spell properly.
At least the flower pictures were pretty, right?
Right!

DT Doodles #1
YAY!
Kiwi Lane's DT Doodle sketches are back!!!
They are changing it to only twice a month instead of every Monday, sad, but I'll take whatever "forced" inspiration I can get!
So here is the first sketch of the year:
And here is my adaptation:
Turns out I don't have very much school-and/or-reading-themed paper. I will have to fix that at the expo...
Yes, it's months away and I am excited already! Back off.
I stamped my title in different colors and decided it needed to stand out a bit more. So I coated it in my Close To My Heart liquid glass. Love that stuff!
And since it was already out, all the dots on the red patterned paper got Liquid Glass-ed too!
Be sure to visit HERE to see other layouts.
Happy My-Children-Are-Finally-Done-Puking Day!

Random bit of storage...
My Mother-In-Law liked it.
Maybe you will too?
Here is how I store my almost-complete Kiwi Lane collection:
By almost-complete I mean I am literally missing 5 sets... Christmas was good to me!
I saw something very similar to this on someones blog somewhere and I CANNOT find it again!!! So if this was your idea, sorry and thank you!
It's all Ikea! And the entire set-up cost less than $12! Go to the kitchen section and get the skinny bars for $3 each and as many 10-packs of the hooks for $1 each that you need. Have your husband hang it on the one clear space of wall and Ta-Daaaaaa!
Really functional really cheap storage!

January CTMH Special!
Apparently January is National Papercrafting Month.
Who knew?
So Close To My Heart has an awesome special to celebrate! When you spend $35 from the Autumn/Winter 2013 catalog, you can get this card making set for only $15!
It comes with full instructions and cutting guide, 15 cards and envelopes, a D-size stamp set, one sheet of die-cuts that match the stamp set, one sheet of Dream Pop paper, one sheet of Lagoon paper, one sheet of Goldrush paper, a whole roll of new Lagoon Shimmer Tape, a whole roll of new Gold Dot Washi Tape, and a whole pack of new Triangle Durables!!!
That's a lot of stuff!
To be honest, I got it for the embellishments! And saved money...
And of course I made a layout instead of cards:
These colors are really great together! And no, I've never been on a cruise. The pictures are my kids pretending seeds riding on leaves are cruising. Sigh...
This cloud is one of the die-cuts you stamp directly on with the matching stamp set. I just embossed it in gold to go with the shiny gold Washi tape.
My new favorite thing! Making paper out of Washi tape strips! This tape lined up really nicely, hardly any waste :)
If you have a consultant, make sure you order in January!
If you don't have a consultant, give me a call!
And if you are already in my group and order the special, let me know if you want cutting dimensions for the layout!

Winter Decor
I thought maybe I could get my January decorations posted before February!
So here they are:
This one is from last year, but my blog was broken so you never saw it! It is from The Wood Connection, of course, along with everything else wooden on my blog...
I HEAVILY glittered the sides with the cheap chunky Walmart glitter that I thought was perfect for snow.
This is my favorite part. A super glittered snowman with black rhinestone eyes. Yep. He's sparkly and he likes it!
These ones are new! Because I had a trio of something for every holiday so far except the celebration of snow... Luckily my husband is sensitive to my OCD and even waited in the car while I bought these. With his blessing!
I added a few sparkles and covered the sides again with the same glitter left over from last year. Yes, the entire house looks like a fairy princess exploded. Definitely the drawback to indoor-winter crafting!
I also glittered the bases a little because they looked awfully boring down there after all the bling on top!
Sadly, this is all my winter decor...
For now...
;)
